The woman behind Pratha
Jyoti Kanoria
Founded in Pune in 2002 by jewellery designer Jyoti Kanoria, Pratha – The Jewellery Studio brings together the richness of traditional Indian craftsmanship and the elegance of contemporary design.
From statement chandbalis, jhumkas and rani-haars to handcrafted silver jewellery and the thoughtful recreation of cherished heirlooms, Pratha celebrates jewellery that honours the past while finding its place in the present.

Two decades of craft
2002
Jyoti Kanoria founds Pratha in Pune, blending traditional handcrafted jewellery with modern design.
2010
Punam Kucheria joins her, and together they build Pratha – The Jewellery Studio into a one-of-a-kind store in Pune.
Heirlooms
Pratha becomes known for remaking heirloom pieces: families bring old jewellery to be recreated for a new generation.
Today
Handcrafted 925 silver, gold-plated, Kundan and gemstone jewellery from the Pune studio, at exhibitions, and online.
